In addition to the already established eSports tournaments being held at this years BlizzCon, Blizzard has announced they'll be hosting the first ever Overwatch World Cup. The fan voted tournament will pit players from their respective countries against each other, in a soccer world cup inspired set-up.
Fans can start voting for their respective champion on August 11th, which will result in a tournament consisting of 60 participating countries. After a number qualifying rounds, which will take place in September and October, the tournament held at BlizzCon in Anaheim will have 16 champions vying for the World Cup Winner title.
