Josiah "Slacked" Berry, Sam "Octane" Larew, Nicholas "Classic" DiCostanzo, and Renato "Saints" Forza are the four man squad that make up Luminosity's Call of Duty roster, and they won the first Call of Duty title for the organisation on Sunday night.

With a prize pool of $200,000 to play for, Luminosity got things off to a fantastic start when they defeated fan favourites OpTic Gaming in the first round of the winners bracket. They went on to defeat two big names in Evil Geniuses and Epsilon Esports, before facing off against European hotshots Splyce in the grand finals.

Splyce's run was just as impressive, after they lost to Epsilon in the semi finals, they went on a phenomenal losers bracket run taking down Enigma6, Cloud9, and Epsilon, getting their revenge.

Ben "Bance" Bance, Trei "Zer0" Morris, Jordan "Jurd" Crowley, and Dylan "MadCat" Daly kicked off the grand finals with an incredibly close 250-249 Scorch Hardpoint victory, before Luminosity came back hard and won Crusher Search & Destroy 6-4, then Throwback Uplink 11-5.

A nail biting Retaliation Hardpoint was the fourth map, but Luminosity managed to scrape by, winning the map 250-245, taking home $80,000 between them. Octane won the MVP award for the event, with impressively positive kill/death ratios across all gamemodes.
