Golden Guardians, one of the teams in the North American League of Legends Championship Series (NA LCS) has announced on Twitter that their head coach Choi 'Locodoco' Yoon-seop has been relieved of his duties, with assistant coach Tyler Perron stepping into the role to replace him as interim head coach.
No reason was given for the decision in this official announcement, but ESPN has reported that, according to alleged sources, this was due to "an inappropriate remark" made to a female member of the esports staff at Riot Games (the developer behind League of Legends). This comment, which according to the report was made before an interview, was apparently deemed unsuitable by both his team and Riot Games, and violated the strict zero-tolerance policy put in place by Golden Guardians parent company - NBA team Golden State Warriors.
The report also claims that Perron's position is being assessed, but that the team are still looking for a head coach at this time.
