Gachikun is your Capcom Cup 2018 champion

Japanese players dominated the last few matches, with only a few other faces like Justin Wong appearing in the final stages.

One of the biggest Street Fighter V events of the year, the Capcom Cup, has just concluded this past weekend, and in an all-Japanese final it was Kanamori 'Gachikun' Tsunehori who beat out Hiromiki 'Itabashi Zangief' Kumada to seal the title for himself.

In fact, there was a lot of Japanese talent on show, including the likes of Masato 'Bonchan' Takahashi, Yusuke 'Momochi' Momochi, and Atsushi 'Fujimura' Fujimura, the latter of which was beaten in close matches by both finalists in both the winners and losers brackets.

Justin Wong also made an appearance in the later stages, but fell to Fujimura and Itabashia Zangief to exit the tournament too, one which proved how dominant all these Japanese players are in the field.
