Astralis are the IEM Beijing champions

100 Thieves were their grand final opponents, but the Danish side added to their trophy collection yet again.
Sam Bishop 11 november 2019

Astralis are one of the most successful teams in CS:GO right now, and they've proved that yet again with a win at the Intel Extreme Masters tournament in Beijing, having won the competition with a convincing performance throughout.

They topped their group with three wins early on to set up a match with FaZe Clan, defeating them 2-0 to book a spot in the grand final. 100 Thieves joined them, having lost already to Astralis in the group, bouncing back with a win over Team Vitality in the playoffs.

Vertigo, Nuke, and Train all went Astralis' way though, making it a 3-0 end to the competition, although considering 100 Thieves has only just returned to CS:GO, this was a good result for them.
