The two entertainment juggernauts also plan to produce content, such as podcasts and playlists collaboratively.

We found out today that entertainment giants, Spotify and Riot Games, have joined forces to form what is an unprecedented multi-year partnership. The agreement will see Spotify become the official audio streaming partner for LoL Esports global events starting with the World Championship on September 25.

That's not all though, as the pair plan to produce a series of content collaboratively. The press release teases that the two will create curated playlists, various podcasts series, and an all-new LoL Esports Hub on Spotify. There's also plans to treat fans to a behind-the-scenes look at the inception of the Worlds Anthem.

June Sauvaget, Spotify's Global Head of Consumer and Product Marketing, said: "Our partnership with Riot Games will create a first-of-its-kind audio universe for the millions of Spotify and League of Legends fans across the globe. As the exclusive — and first-ever — global audio service partner for League of Legends Esports, we plan to create the best possible audio streaming experience for our users, making discovering both music and podcasts easier than ever before."
