Dota 2 player Anderson "444" Santos has sadly passed away due to Covid-19

444 played for both paiN Gaming and T Show.

Thanks, Dot Esports.

paiN Gaming made the sad announcement over the weekend that one of its former players, Anderson "444" Santos, had passed away due to Covid-19. 444 was 25 years old at the time of his death and was only a few short weeks away from his 26th birthday.

The Brazilian player had been playing Dota 2 competitively since 2017 and had a short stay with T Show before moving to paiN Gaming. During his time with paiN, 444 represented the team at events such as EPICENTER Major 2019 and DreamLeague Season 13. He eventually left the team in April 2020 when the full roster was eventually disbanded.

Posting on Twitter, paiN Gaming said: "Today we lost Bob to COVID-19. "We're eternally grateful for your help in building another chapter of our story on Dota. You're an incredible person and we'll miss you immeasurably. We can't believe you were ripped from us so prematurely. Lucky are those who had a chance to know you and who had the honor of seeing you play. Our hearts and thoughts are with your family. Rest in peace, 444."

Our thoughts go out to both 444's friends and family.
