Krafton has announced that the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds PGI.S Survival tournament will begin today, and run until March 7. The event, which sees 32 teams slug it out in an elimination format, will offer a $60,000 prize pool of which $30,000 goes straight to the winning organisation.

The tournament has split the 32 teams into eight different groups, and the team from each group that achieves the highest scores over the group matches will move forward into the final stages, in the hopes of making it to the final four.

As this is a showmatch tournament, the rule sets are slightly different to that of the PGI.S, meaning the games should move faster as the zone shrinks at a faster rate.

Fans will be glad to hear that the Pick'Em Challenge will be active for this event, meaning this would make for a great time to earn some coupons to grab some in-game gear.

The stream for the tournament is set to begin shortly, at 10am GMT / 11am CET, so to catch all of the action, make sure to head over here.
