Twitch has partnered with NBC to become part of the broadcaster's plan for Olympics coverage. The deal will see Twitch produce live content on the run up to the Tokyo Olympic Games and during the event, including studio shows, activations, interviews with athletes, and gaming-related competitions, as The Esports Observer reports.

One of the activations that is planned will see Twitch streamers looking to keep a virtual Olympic flame running throughout the entire week before the games kick-off.

Twitch has also previously worked to bring live sports to the platform, for example with it's coverage of the NFL's Thursday Night Football. As for the financials of this partnership, that has yet to be revealed.
