Riot Games has revealed a bunch of the details about the 2022 season of the League of Legends European Championship. The tournament will officially return on January 14, 2022 with the Spring Season, which will run until March 25, when the Spring Playoffs will begin.

We're told in the announcement blog post that the regular season will also include two superweeks, and that the playoffs will be hosted in the LEC Studio in Berlin. The finals for the playoffs are also scheduled for April 9-10.

But that's not all that was announced, as the European Regional Leagues (ERLs) will also be making a return in January. All accredited ERLs will officially begin on January 10, with non-accredited ERLs starting a week later on January 17. All ERLs will run their spring seasons until April 4, when the Amazon Masters Spring will take place before concluding on May 8.

Who are you most excited to see compete in the LEC this coming season?
