Toronto Defiant has signed Finale

The former Uprising Academy DPS is making his Overwatch League debut.

The Toronto Defiant has announced the signing of yet another member to its active roster, a signing that is seeing the former Overwatch Contenders DPS from the Uprising Academy, Jung-woo "Finale" Lim, joining the Overwatch League team, and seeing him make his OWL debut.

Finale has played for the Uprising Academy since March this year, and has helped the team achieve its multiple podium results ever since. Upon joining the Defiant, Finale is also making his first entry into the top-level of Overwatch competition, where he will be hoping to help the mostly rebuilt team improve on its 11th place result throughout the course of the 2021 season.

With the signing of Finale, the Defiant now has the necessary members to be able to compete in the 2022 season, which will use a 5v5 format and will be played on Overwatch 2. If we had to guess, the Defiant will probably also be making a few other announcements over the next couple of months, to ensure it has the most versatile and diverse roster it can form before the new season kicks off.
