The event will be the first time the country has held a Major since 2018.

A new report has surfaced, suggesting that the upcoming League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational will be held in South Korea. Reported by Dot Esports, the report claims that the event will be coming to the home of the LCK, and that when it does, it will be the first time the country has held a League of Legends Major since 2018.

While Riot Games has yet to confirm or deny the report, it shouldn't be too long until we hear more official information about the tournament as the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational that was held in Iceland took place at the end of April.

Assuming MSI 2022 does take place in Korea, we're still yet to also know the hosting cities and venues, and likewise if the event will be entirely online or have a physical presence.
