The esports organisation Team Envy recently unveiled a new partnership with the*gameHers, a women-led gaming community. The deal comes during Women's History Month and around International Women's Day, and has the aim of amplifying the voices of women in games and esports over the course of 2022.
As part of a press release, we're told that the partnership will also see the pair working on a range of content together, alongside college initiatives, co-branded live events, co-streaming appearances, and a series of staff and creator spotlights.
"Gaming and esports have come a long way but still have so far to go in the fair and representative treatment of women," said Envy's SVP of sales and partnerships, Erin Schendle. "We want to bring a megaphone to the positive things that organisations, brands, and individuals are doing to foster a community of equality and empowerment for all girls and women interested in gaming."
There is no mention of the financials of the deal.
