Misfits Gaming Group has revealed that it has signed a partnership deal with Baptist Health South Florida, a deal that aims to see the esports organisation and its franchised teams (Florida Mayhem and the Florida Mutineers) promote better health in esports athletes.
It's noted that Baptist Health will become the exclusive health and wellness partner for MGG, and that the health company will also be given the naming rights for MGG's headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida.
"The physical and mental wellbeing of our players is incredibly important to us, and something we've been heavily investing in more and more each year," said Justin Stefanovic, SVP of partnerships at Misfits Gaming Group. "Baptist Health is the perfect partner for us to level up our physical wellness efforts. We're excited to have trained professionals working with our players to create tailored programs aimed to help them prepare for everything from long training sessions to big tournaments."
MGG and Baptist Health are set to work together on a variety of content pieces that support the wellness of physical and mental health of gamers, with Baptist Health even delivering a physical health programme for MGG's players and streamers to follow, a plan that will include stretches and various exercises.
