Following the recent expansion of its Getty Images partnership, which now includes Riot Games' League of Legends: Wild Rift esports scenes, Riot has announced the signing of a new partnership with Verizon, one that will see the telecommunications company regarded as the founding partner of Wild Rift esports for North America.

As the press release states, the deal, which is multiple years in length, will also see Verizon named as the exclusive 5G partner and wireless services provider for Wild Rift esports NA, and will also see Verizon and Riot working together on a variety of fan-focused initiatives.

This also comes shortly after Coca-Cola was named as the global founding partner for Wild Rift esports.
