Chester King: I'd prefer kids to play/watch esports than TV

The CEO of the new British Esports Association thinks highly of esports.

Earlier this week an esports event was held at the BAFTA building in London to talk about everything esports, and Chester King, the CEO of the newly formed British Esports Association, was in attendance to share his views on esports both in general and in the UK.

In King's talk, he said that esports isn't trying to rival exercise or sports, but said instead that it's rivalling watching television. In fact, he said that he'd prefer his own children to play or watch esports rather than watch television, and that age isn't a major concern of his in terms of esports; anyone can get involved.

Stay tuned to Gamereactor's Esports for more on Esports in the UK from that talk, but it's interesting to hear King express so much preference for esports over television. Do you have the same preference?
