Splatoon Showdown Series revealed by Nintendo

Nintendo and Battlefy have teamed up to make this tournament happen.

Recently via twitter Nintendo announced the Splatoon Showdown Series, a new tournament being created in partnership with Battlefy and Leagues Under the Ink. The Showdown series begins in November and will be split into four modes - Turf War, Splat Zones, Tower Control and Rainmaker.

Anyone can be a part of the tournament, provided they have a Splatoon team and it is registered on the Battlefy website, after which they can head to the Splatoon Showdown Series signup page. The first qualifiers will begin on November 5.

As an amateur tournament, we won't be seeing the same kinds of huge prize pools you see in other esports nowadays. Instead, the winners of the four separate modes will win an exclusive signed poster, some amiibos, and more. If you're interested in signing up for this tournament, head this way. Is Splatoon a game you'd like to watch being played competitively?
