South America joining Rocket League Championship Series

In 2019 we'll see a new region take to the stage.
Sam Bishop 20 augustus 2018

The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) is the highest level of Rocket League competition, and now developer Psyonix has revealed some good news with regards to the leak, as South America will be coming to the competition as a region next year.

"We'll begin this first article with a quick look at one of the most promising regions in Rocket League Esports, South America (SAM)," the post reads. "Over the past month, you may have noticed a long-overdue push by Psyonix to get more involved and support our incredible community partners in the South American region. We were extremely excited to have the opportunity to sponsor tournaments from great organizers like Rocket Street and LVP. Their hard work gave us a glimpse at the deep pool of talent from our players in the SAM region, and while those tournaments were an amazing start for players and fans, we think we can do more."

"Throughout the rest of 2018, we will be ramping up our support in the region as we plan to work with existing and (hopefully) new partners to give our SAM players a plethora of opportunities to compete with the best the region has to offer."

Season 6's league play starts on September 14, but South American players can start practising now to get involved for next year. Are you a big fan of the RLCS?
