ESL and Tencent Games have revealed that they're bringing an Arena of Valor esports competition to E3, with Valor Series playoffs happening at the E3 ESL Arena on June 12 and 13, as part of Tencent's commitment to mobile esports, featuring hardware provided by Razer.
"Tencent is committed to supporting and growing the mobile esports community by leveraging structured esports competition on both a local and large scale," said Ramon Hermann, director of esports for Tencent America. "The Valor Series playoffs showcase the absolute best in mobile esports, as Arena of Valor offers gamers a fast-paced, competitive multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) experience without compromise, especially if you're playing on gaming-inspired Razer hardware."
The Valor Series has been going on for the last few months, and the winners of these playoffs will go and compete at the Arena of Valor World Cup in July to fight over a $550,00 USD prize pool. AT&T will support the event on-site with activation too, using the Microsoft HoloLens to "enable interaction with content in an entirely different way and enhance the gaming experience."
