Following a few days of competition, the Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge Online tournament has concluded, with none other than Danish organisation Astralis taking home the victory.
The Grand Finals event occurred last night, December 20 and pitted Astralis up against Team Liquid in a best of five series. Astralis took no time in securing a victory, as they defeated Liquid decisively in a 3-0 fashion. This result sees Astralis awarded with $200,000 in prize winnings, and will conclude their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive season for 2020.
Looking to the future, the next major tournament for Astralis will be Katowice 2021, an event we reported on a few days ago, as it will not see a live crowd for this coming year. Be sure to keep an eye out for that one when it starts on February 16.
