Deft wants to return to Korea

Winning the Worlds is more important to him than money.
Sam Bishop 8 november 2016

The other day we reported that Kim "Deft" Hyuk-Gyu was leaving EDward Gaming and now he has spoken out, saying he would like to return to South Korea.

"I think I had good performances in China, but I've always been disappointed at Worlds," he told FOMOS (as transalated by theScore esports). "I don't think I have a lot of time in which I can continue to perform well. I wish to return to Korea where I have a higher chance of winning Worlds."

The return to Korea, however, will mean he will earn less money than he did in China, Deft acknowledges, but winning the Worlds is a higher priority right now.

Deft did have success back in Korea at Samsung Blue in 2014, but time will only tell if he will have more success in the future. Do you think leaving China was the best decision?
