DreamHack has announced that during the coming February, it will be hosting its first in-person US-based festival in two years when it returns to Anaheim. Set for February 11-13, the event will feature esports tournaments, a LAN party, an expo, cosplay competitions, live music, community tournaments, speedrunning, panels, and more.

Taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center, this event will take place for 24-hours straight and will see a return to the festival following its last appearance in February 2020.

"DreamHack creates a space for our community to connect, explore, win, play, and be themselves through an interactive, gaming lifestyle experience," said Marcus Lindmark, president of DreamHack, and SVP project and event operations at ESL Gaming. "Gaming brought, and kept, us together during difficult times, so I cannot begin to share how excited we are to be back in person with our community. It seems very poetic that our first in-person festival in the U.S. will happen in the same city as our last festival before the pandemic two years ago. We cannot wait to again share the DreamHack experience with Anaheim."

In the announcement press release, it was also mentioned that the event will be following strict Covid-19 protocols, where attendees will require proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test to attend.

As for the full schedule for DreamHack's 2022 calendar, we're told that it will be unveiled in December.
