Even though it's still quite a few years out, the Global Esports Federation has announced that it has confirmed Dubai as the host city for the 2025 Global Esports Games. Set to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre between June 9-11, this was announced at the live kickoff event for the 2022 season.

"We are excited to see the incredible progress since our signing of a Strategic Framework Agreement with Emirates Esports at Expo 2020 Dubai last November, to unlock opportunities and develop esports in the region," said Paul J. Foster, CEO of the GEF. "The world will once again unite in Dubai with the city confirmed to host the Global Esports Games in 2025."

Further details for the event have yet to be announced, but considering this event is still years away, we'll no doubt learn more in the coming years.
