Ever since revealing that they'd be committing $100 million USD to Fortnite esports, Epic Games has been relatively quiet on the competitive front, but now they've announced a brand new competition to get fans excited.
They'll host what's called the Summer Skirmish series as part of this, an eight-week series of competitions with $8 million in prize money, starting this weekend with a Duos competition seeing $250,000 up for grabs. Content creators and top Fortnite players will be competing, and invitations have already been sent for this, but stay tuned for more on how you can qualify for future events, which may change in terms of format and competitors.
