The esports organiser ESL and the tech giant Intel has announced that it is renewing its partnership for a further three years, in a deal that is valued at $100 million. Announced as part of the celebration the two are sharing for twenty years of esports collaborations, the renewal will start in 2022 and last until 2025's IEM Katowice tournament.

This deal is the longest running partnership in the esports industry, and is a continuation of the 2016 deal that saw Intel become ESL's global technical partner. The contract extension is set to see the pair continue to work together to deliver the most exciting tournaments across the world, as well as now including DreamHack events such as the DreamHack Open and DreamHack Festivals.

"After 20 years of building something hand in hand it's hard to consider Intel as merely a partner," said Ralf Reichert, Co-CEO at ESL Gaming (via Esportz.in) "The two-decade journey has forged a bond that has no parallel in the world of esports and we are excited to be extending it with a commitment of this magnitude; the next three years will be the greatest esports fans have seen yet."

As part of this deal, all non-league ESL-run Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments will also now be classed under the Intel Extreme Masters brand, which will include ESL One Cologne that is now called Intel Extreme Masters Cologne.
