Ben Lyons Senior Editor 1 november 2019

The popular fighting game tournament, Evo is making its return to Sin City in 2020. That's right Las Vegas will be hosting Evo at the Mandalay Bay resort and casino between July 31 and August 2 for the fourth year running. You can check out the announcement video for the tournament here.

Evo is the premier tournament and event for fighting game aficionados, where the biggest and best players in the world, across a broad variety of titles congregate to compete for multiple championships.

This year's event also took place in Las Vegas in early August and featured a broad spectrum of titles, from Mortal Kombat 11 all the way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. As for what titles we will see at the coming Evo tournament, they are yet to be revealed, although we can assume that many of the games from this year's event will likely be returning.

Evo is becoming larger each year, with the 2019 event featuring the largest Super Smash Bros. tournament of all time, with a staggering number of competitors, totalling over 3,500 people. For more Evo content, you can check out the full list of tournament winners from Evo 2019 here.
