After a while of not being able to host in-person events due to the pandemic, the fighting game tournament organiser, Evo has announced that it will be returning to live events in 2022.

Revealed in a Twitter post, the organiser has stated, "We have loved the competition through our online events, but nothing beats live, in-person tournaments between players from around the world.

It has been too long since we have experienced the spirit of the FGC in person together.

Evo is back in Las Vegas August 5-7 in 2022."

There's no mention as to where the tournament will be held in Las Vegas or any further details for that matter, but this decision does mark the next stage of a return to normality for the esports world.
