The Shanghai Dragons Overwatch League team has announced that Panseung "Fate" Koo will be joining the team for the 2021 season. Fate, who is a veteran in the League after playing for the Los Angeles Valiant and the Florida Mayhem, alongside the Korean national team, will be looking to build on the incredibly successful season the Dragons had over 2021.

The statement that accompanied the announcement reads: "The position of the Shagnhai Dragons' main tank will be handed over today! Let's welcome Fate (Koo Pan-seung)!"

"Fate has been performing at the highest tier as a pro in the stage of OWL for three seasons! His veteran experience in the League, calm judgement, and strong team leadership will be his most valuable assets to the team."

"Fate is not a stranger to us, as he knows the coach and his former Team South Korean teammates, and shares a desire for success and progress with his new teammates. Now, he will don the red, exploring more unknowns and winning more glory! In the face of even the fiercest attacks, we will be fearless, believing that he will stand at the forefront of the battles and lead us to victory!"
