It wasn't too long ago we reported that popular Fortnite streamer Benjamin 'DrLupo' Lupo would be teaming up with Find Your Grind - an organisation that helps youths explore unconventional careers and lifestyles - to award gaming scholarships, and now this event has happened, with $45,000 USD's worth of scholarships being distributed.
The streamer, who represents esports organisation Rogue, gave a FYG Live Streamer Scholarship to high school student William Koslaphirom, for example, which will help pay tuition for the University of Nebraska Omaha as well as streaming equipment. Koslaphirom wasn't the only winner, as there were others from around the world, including Greece and the UK.
"It means a lot to me to partner with ReKTGlobal, Rogue and FYG to help aspiring gamers in my home state and beyond," says DrLupo. "It's great to connect with kids and fans on my livestream, and I'm grateful to have opportunities like this to meet them in person and make a positive impact in the community."
