Esports organisation Fnatic has revealed a brand new partnership with streaming platform Twitch, a "long-term collaboration" that sees pro players stream exclusively via Twitch from now on.
This has already started back in January with the Legends in Action Live event streamed from Berlin, where we got to see the new League of Legends jersey as well.
"Partnering with Twitch offers us an exciting opportunity to continue exploring new content formats such as Legends in Action Live, as well as enabling our fans to experience more of what we have to offer. This is the start of a new and exciting partnership for our fans and streamers alike," said Wouter Sleijffers, Fnatic CEO
As part of this deal CS:GO players Jesper 'JW' Wecksell and Freddy 'Krimz' Johansson revealed via a Twitch stream that they've signed new contracts with the team that sees them stick with Fnatic until 2022, as revealed on Fnatic's website as well.
"After pretty much five years straight (except one hiccup) in the organisation, I simply feel like I'm home," said JW. "I know I won't find a better home and I know I won't make the same mark and create the same legacy elsewhere. I've always been a Fnatic fan. Ever since I got into the scene, cArn, f0rest et al were my heroes. I want to be that kind of guy to someone else, you know? It just makes perfect sense to me."
