The David Beckham-backed, London-based esports organisation Guild Esports has announced that it has signed the biggest sponsorship deal in its history. Said to be valued at £4.5 million, the deal will see Bitstamp joining as the organisation's official cryptocurrency exchange partner, with the deal itself set to last for three years.

We are thrilled to welcome Bitstamp to Guild as our official Cryptocurrency Exchange partner. It will also enable us to deliver creative, high-quality content and meaningful experience to our audience in a way that is authentic to both Guild and Bitstamps' identities," said Kal Hourd, chief executive of Guild Esports.

According to a press release, the deal will see Bitstamp's logo appearing on Guild's jerseys, as well as seeing the crypto company's logo integrated into Guild's London headquarters, which is slated to open in early 2022.

Similarly, it has also been mentioned that the pair will be working together on "numerous projects and activations," which are intended to grow both Guild's and Bitstamp's fan bases.

The deal itself is slated to close on January 29, of which assuming all goes to plan, it will become a record deal for Guild Esports.
