CD Projekt Red, developers of The Witcher games and the card game Gwent (set in the same universe), has announced that Zehua 'Huyahanachann' Zhao has won the March Gwent Open tournament, which took place this past weekend with a $25,000 USD prize pool on the line.

The competition saw the highest ranked players on the Pro Ladder battle it out for the money and for Masters Crown Points, the ranking points of the official esports series for the game. Spots at the next Gwent Challenger competition were also up for grabs, taking place in April in the Wieliczka Salt Mine.

Huyahanachann won $9,650 for his troubles, beating out fellow finalist Damian 'Tailbot' Kaźmierczak from Poland. Do you think Gwent's esports scene is off to a good start?
