GAME Esports and Events has announced that it is expanding the Insomnia Gaming Festival, as GamesIndustry.biz reports that a multi-year deal has been agreed with The Global Event Management Group and BME Global to take the festival to South America, Australia, Dubai, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, expanding its reach a tad further than the UK.
"Video games and esports are now a truly global form of entertainment and it seems fitting that we can share our passion for games on a global basis through Insomnia Event series," said Martyn Gibbs, CEO of GAME.
October will see the first international event take place in Cairo, and Dubai will follow next year, with the usual UK festival coming to Birmingham's NEC Arena from August 24 to 27. Have you been to Insomnia before?
