Invictus wins big at the Worlds

IG takes home the Summoner's Cup.
Mike Holmes 6 november 2018

Invictus Gaming swept aside Fnatic in the Worlds over the weekend to take home the Summoner's Cup and with it more than $840,000 in prize money. Not a bad day's work if you ask us.

Regardless of who would go on to win the tournament, it was a landmark conclusion to this year's Worlds with IG and Fnatic the first two teams in the last four years to contest the final who hail from outside of South Korea. Yu "JackeyLove" Wen-Bo and Song "Rookie" Eui-jin led the charge as IG went on smash their opponents 3-0 in an epic showdown that will be remembered by the thousands of fans who attended the event in Incheon, South Korea.

In fact, the whole event was truly epic, and you can see the opening ceremony here to get a sense of the scale of this year's final.
