The Gwent Season 1 World Masters concluded over the weekend, marking the tournament with the largest prize pool in The Witcher Card Game's history. The main event that occurred on Sunday, June 6 pitted Benjamin "Kolemoen" Pfannstiel against Fred "Freddybabes" Bird, across a series that was best-of-three, a series that concluded with Kolemoen taking home the victory 3-1.

With the win, Kolemoen has taken home $119,000 in prize money, with Freddybabes netting $53,000 for coming in second. With the prize pool for the event being $250,000, the remaining cash has been split between the other six competitors who didn't manage to make it to the finals series.

CD Projekt has not provided any details as of yet as to when season 2 of the event is planned for, but hopefully it won't be too long until this strategy card game esport kicks back into action.
