The viewership statistics for the 2021 League of Legends European Championship Spring Season have been disclosed, following MAD Lions win during the Finals series, and it has seen a pretty drastic increase in hours watched, making it the most watched LEC season ever.

With an increase of 40.4% (as per a press release) in total hours watched, a total that exceeded 44,000,000 hours, the 2021 Spring Season also saw an increase in viewers for its finals series, with an average minute audience of 450,395, which is 12.3% more than last year's Spring Finals. The peak concurrent viewers also saw an increase, as the Spring Finals managed to clock in 866,821 fans, a 7.5% increase over last year.

With the Summer Season set to take place soon after the upcoming Mid-Season Invitational, we'll have to see whether the LEC can transition this success as the year continues.
