OpTic and Red Reserve impress at Day One of CWL Anaheim

Rise Nation has had a slightly more mixed bag of results.
Sam Bishop 16 juni 2018

The Call of Duty World League is hitting Anaheim this weekend for another dose of exciting Call of Duty esports action, and the yearly event has actually kicked off today with the first lot of matches in pool play, which produced some interesting results going into Saturday.

OpTic, for example, rounded off an undefeated day with a 3-0 sweep of Team EnVy (who also lost to Splyce to set their record at 1-2 after the first day), and joining them with a stellar record is Red Reserve, who have beaten the likes of FaZe to become one of the most impressive teams at the competition.

Rise Nation has had mixed, on the other hand, as they lost to a decisive Team Kaliber 3-0 victory, while they also defeated Luminosity. Call of Duty esports is an unpredictable beast though, and there's every chance our expectations could be thwarted by this time tomorrow, so it remains to be seen who can impress tomorrow as well.
