PlayVS partners with Champion for high school jerseys

Just in time for Season Zero of their esports competition.
Sam Bishop 26 oktober 2018

PlayVS, a company that brings esports to high schools in the USA, has announced a partnership with Champion athletic apparel as the jersey provider for this academic year, just in time for Season Zero, their early-access open season for high schools in a select number of states.

This allows students to identify as part of their team and represent their schools, and PlayVS says that getting team jerseys is part of putting esports alongside other sports like basketball that are played at the same level.

"PlayVS could not be more excited to partner with Champion, one of the premier athletic apparel companies in the world," said PlayVS CEO and founder Delane Parnell. "It's impossible to overstate the symbolic importance of jerseys for Season Zero and beyond. When students put on their Champion jerseys for the first time, they'll feel like part of something larger than themselves, they'll feel like part of a team. That's what PlayVS and high school esports are all about."

Season Zero is starting on October 30 and ending on December 18, with playoffs starting in January. The last day to register is October 29 though, so you can still make it in there if you want.

Is this a good partnership?
