Riot Games has officially signed a multiple year partnership extension with Getty Images, a deal that aims to expand the global coverage of Riot's many esports scenes. As the press release states, Getty will be serving as the official photo image and distribution partner for Valorant esports and Wild Rift esports events, but the photography company will also receive "key" coverage opportunities for the biggest events in Riot's catalogue, including the League of Legends World Championship.
"As our esports lineup continues to grow, we need a partner who will support our vision of delivering premium content to our fans around the world," said John Needham, Riot Games president of esports. "Getty Images is unmatched in their expertise in the field and we are confident that our continued partnership will result in the high-quality content our communities are looking for."
Getty is also set to capture and distribute content from the Valorant Champions Tour and the Game Changers programme, which will see the beginning of the first major in Reykjavik, Iceland later this week.
