Royal British Legion launches the Legion Games

This sees content creators compete against veterans to help with the support the Royal British Legion offers.
Sam Bishop 6 november 2019

The Royal British Legion, a charity that offers support to members of the army and veterans, has revealed the launch of Legion Games, providing regular content on Twitch as content creators compete with veterans over a variety of games.

"By launching the Legion Games, we hope to build on the existing community of Armed Forces personnel who enjoy gaming, whilst connecting them with an audience who otherwise may not know much about the lives of those who serve," commented Chanel Blake, Head of Innovation and Planning at The Royal British Legion.

"Much like challenge events and fun runs, gaming is another fun and social sport that brings people together, so the Legion Games is about embracing that culture and building a platform to raise money to help aid the fantastic work The Royal British Legion does to power up veterans' recovery."

The first stream is taking place on November 8, this Friday, at 17:00 GMT (18:00 CET), and for more information check out the official site.
