Talon Esports has inked a partnership deal with the esports engagement platform, Yesports, with the deal set to see the pair work together on a line of Talon NFTs. Revealed in a blog post, the partnership will also see Yesports providing Talon access to Web 3.0 so that the organisation's fans can partake in the growing and expanding metaverse.
"Web 3.0, NFTs and the Metaverse are going to create unique and exciting ways in which we can engage with fans," said Talon's CEO, Sean Zhang. "We are thrilled to be working with Yesports in developing this future. Having seen the plans of real and virtual work utility, eco-conscious strategy and a great line of esports teams, we cannot be more thrilled as we develop these experiences that will provide genuine value for our fans."
In the post, we're told that the first batch of NFTs will be based on Talon's Arena of Valor team, and that NFTs will grant owners "special perks, including community incentives such as signed merchandise drops and exclusive online meet-and-greet sessions with players".
There's no mention of the financials behind the deal, but we are told that Yesports will be launching a giveaway this week to mark the partnership.
