Team Liquid crowned The International 2017 winners

They beat Newbee in the final.
Sam Bishop 14 augustus 2017

The biggest tournament in the Dota 2 calendar, The International, just wrapped up last week, with Team Liquid and legendary player Kuro Salehi 'KuroKy' Takhasomi finally getting to lift the trophy after a convincing display throughout.

They faced Newbee in the final, who bounced back from a loss in the first game to have a pretty positive start in the second, with Song 'Sccc' Chun shining, although Lasse 'MATUMBAMAN' Urpalainen of Liquid resisted, keeping them at bay and allowing Liquid a second win.

The third game was a game fitting of a grand final in terms of intensity, as there were kills everywhere, but Liquid's Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi Black King Bar meant Liquid were able to push on to win the game, the match, and the tournament, netting themselves over $10 million USD in the process.
