Team Liquid has announced that it has partnered with Verizon, as the telecommunications giant looks to move further into esports. Set to be regarded as Liquid's Official 5G Partner, Verizon will be building 5G sites at Liquid facilities to give its players and staff access to the faster connection.

The partnership is also set to see Verizon creating content with Liquid's professionals and content creators. This will include branded branded 5G streams, exclusive meet and greets, appearances, and various giveaways.

Verizon has previously partnered with Riot Games as its Official 5G Partner as well, as it looks to bring the faster connection to the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), as well as a few other LoL and Valorant esports tournaments.

No financials of the deal have been disclosed as of yet.
