The 2022 LPL Spring Split starts on January 10

And it has a new look.
Ben Lyons Senior Editor 31 december 2021

Riot Games has officially announced the date for when the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) will begin its Spring Split. Set to return on January 10, the LPL will kick off at 9:00 GMT / 10:00 CET, with the first game of the 2022 season.

But that's not all that Riot Games announced, as it also showed off another tease of its "brand new look", which is the continuation of the rebrand that started back in 2020 with the League's new logo. Riot has yet to show exactly what this will look like, but we can expect a new layout for matches as well as a new stage to hold competition on.

Even though the LPL is only a couple of weeks out, and is one of the earliest starting leagues for competitive League of Legends, Riot Games has yet to officially reveal the schedule for the Spring Split of the LPL, meaning we can expect that to be arriving soon.
