The Overwatch League Summer Showdown kicks off this weekend

The event follows the June Joust that saw the Shanghai Dragons on top.

After a week break following the June Joust finals that saw the Shanghai Dragons take home the tournament, the Overwatch League will be back with the Summer Showdown this weekend.

Starting with the first of three weeks worth of regular season play that will find the teams that qualify for the main tournament (set to take place on the weekend of July 16-18), the Summer Showdown will start off with the London Spitfire facing the Paris Eternal at 20:00 BST / 21:00 CEST on June 25.

With The Dragons and the Dallas Fuel being the only two teams to make a tournament final so far this season, both have been in the May Melee and the June Joust finals, we'll have to see if we get a repeat this time when the Summer Showdown concludes in a few weeks.

The Summer Showdown starting almost marks the midpoint of the 2021 Overwatch League season, as there will be one more tournament, the Countdown Cup, before we look to experience Playoffs and Grand Finals once again.

Who do you think will be the most dominant team in the Summer Showdown?
