Dallas Fuel will be hosting the first ever home match in the Overwatch League's history, and team owner Envy has revealed that tickets have sold out for the event, meaning that 4,500 fans are expected to descend upon the Dallas Fuel Homestand Weekend, seeing eight OWL matches being played at the Allen Event Center between April 27 and 28.
This is the first of three homestands this season, and at the event we can expect to see activations, a cosplay contest, photo booths, merchandise, a performance by Karma Fields, and more.
"We're excited to make history as Dallas hosts the first home game in Overwatch League history," said Dallas Fuel owner Mike Rufail. "Homestand Weekend is going to be a great show for fans in North Texas, as many of the world's top professional players will face off in eight live matches over two days. We're proud to share this experience with the fans in attendance and the entire community watching around the world."
