Streaming platform Twitch has officially revealed the dates and location for this year's instalment of TwitchCon 2018, the yearly event that brings their community together for a variety of events and competitions, and this time the fourth event will come to the San Jose McEnery Convention Center from October 26 to 28.
The event will once again see content creators (including streamers), developers, publishers, industry partners, and fans come together to watch panel sessions, get involved with on-site activities, see exhibitor booths, and also potentially witness some esports as well, since last year hosted competitions like the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Omen Challenge, so we may well see more along those lines this year.
"TwitchCon has continued to grow year over year with our diverse and inclusive community playing a major role in defining the content through their feedback and participation in on-site activities," said Krystal Herring, Director of TwitchCon. "As with our previous three conventions, we are keeping things fresh with a new location. And since San Jose has a proven track record of successfully holding major events with plenty of great places to eat and stay, it's exciting to give our attendees a new city to explore for all of the expected community meetups."
